Mug Mats

First official pattern shared with the world!!
This is a very simple project to make, great for watching TV and knitting (which is what I did lol).



Mug Mats
US 4 knitting needles (I used a 24" circular)
Cotton yarn (Peaches & Cream in Seaside Stripes)
          2 balls make four mug mats

NOTES
Moss st: *K1, P1, K1* repeat across for all rows indicated
PM - place marker
SM - slip marker

Cast on 31 sts.
Moss st for 8 rows.
Row 1 (RS): Moss 5 sts, pm, KNIT all stitches until last 5 sts, pm, Moss last 5 sts
Row 2 (WS): Moss 5 sts, sm, PURL across, sm, Moss 5 sts

Repeat Row 1 and 2 for 5.25".

Moss st across for 7 more rows starting on a (RS) row.
BO loosely in pattern on (WS) row
Weave in all ends.

  1. You've made a beautiful mug mat! It even matches your tissues box. (And making two might even provide a separate mat for a bread-and-butter plate. It looks to be the right size.)
